Anti-war and Palestine activists held actions during Boston's First Night/New Years Eve 2011 festivities. |

Boston, Mass.- Dec. 31, 2010:
About 25 anti-war and Palestinian rights activists held actions in Copley Square in the midst of Boston's First Night-New Years Eve 2011 festivities.
Members of Boston's Stop the Wars Coalition www.stopthewars.org
held a large banner as well as signs outside the Boston Public Library. Also, hundreds of anti-war stickers were passed out to passersby-people accepted the stickers gladly and wore them on their coats.
About a half block away, members of the Boston Coalition for Palestinian Rights
www.bcprights.org
staged street theater to dramatize the Israeli blockade of Gaza.
Many hundreds of New Years revelers saw these 2 actions as they passed by, so it was a clear success in reaching out to the public.
