Peace activists braved a cold, strong wind to bring their anti-war message to Pres. Obama. |

Boston, MA-Oct. 16, 2010:
A dedicated contingent of anti-war activists braved a cold wind, Tea Party reactionaries and Democrat and Republican sign carriers, to greet President Obama's visit to Boston today. Pres. Obama spoke at a rally at the Hynes Convention Center to try to boost Gov. Deval Patrick's re-election bid.
Present were Code Pink/Raging Grannies singing for peace, Greater Boston Stop The Wars Coalition, and Veterans For Peace. They were calling for an end to all US wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and to instead fund social welfare programs, which Obama promised before he was elected.
A long line of people 4 blocks long waited in the cold to try to get into the Obama rally, which featured singer James Taylor. Most of those waiting did not get in.
