Toward a unified global justice movement!
As we fight to end the destruction that the IMF and World Bank have brought to the world, we make connections with others in the same struggle. The IMF Resistance Network invites all - especially those involved in Jubilee USA - to join us at the block party to end all block parties. Come train, dance, and listen in preparation for a weekend of creative actions.
We must all unite to end the crimes that the IMF and World Bank are committing. Building an alternative community - even a temporary one - is one of the most striking forms of resistance possible. Rather than appealing for relief from those in power, we must create the world that we want to see.
The Block Party starts at 6:30 pm and runs until 8:30 pm, at Washington Circle, 23rd and K Sts., NW. There will be live music and speakers, as well as Non-Violent Direct Action Training and a D.C. Know Your Rights training. And how could you have a block party without food?
